Yesterday Rachel was "fake coughing" a bit after I picked her up from school. While I do think that she is fighting a bit of a cold right now, there is an obvious difference between real coughing and fake coughing. I told her to stop, and she said, "I feel like I'm going to barf." I looked at her and started to laugh because clearly she was just fine. I said, "No, you're not. Why would you say that?"
"It's just an expression, Mommy!" she answered cheerfully as if I should have known all along.
When I told her that it was not "just an expression" she wanted to know what it meant. Silly girl.
