Ing

Anna's favourite thing to do with words right now is to add "ing" to words that she knows. Sometimes this is logical, such as the following scenario:

Anna spots Rachel with some food and says, "Rachel! Eating!"

Other times, it is utterly absurd and at the same time, extremely cute:

Anna sees a snack being served and says, "Food! Food-ing!!!"

We have also heard up-ing, book-ing and a few others that of course I can't remember.

On the subject of food (a favourite), one day Ben and Anna came into the house just as I was finishing getting a meal ready. Ben put Anna down and she heard the sounds of food being served. She zipped around the corner to the kitchen as fast as possible, yelling "Foooooooooooooooooood!" with a huge grin on her face. Yes, she does like to eat.
