Funny Anna

Anna is speaking in little sentences all the time now. It cracks me up to hear her say, "Thank you, mommy!" and "All done bagel!"

That said, she has some very cute misunderstandings regarding vocabulary. We have some word books that were given to Rachel as a baby (Thanks, Kate! We still love them!). One of these books has a cup in it. Anna calls it a "waterpease!" (water please) She is convinced that this is what a cup is called.

Also, when Anna wants more of something, she says "morepease!" - again, this is all one word.

While I was typing this, Anna just walked up to me with Rachel's Cinderella backpack and said, "Mommy have a bag! 'Rella!"

I think one of Ben's favourites is when I serve chicken for dinner and Anna yells out gleefully, "Chicken! Cluck cluck cluck!" Although our 5-year-old is still firmly convinced that "chicken-the-bird" is not the same as "chicken-the-dinner", Anna apparently has no such issue.

When Rachel is practising piano, Anna usually shows up and demands a turn: "Anna's turn piano! Hot dog! Tinkle Little Star!" The really funny thing is that she can almost play some of the rhythms that Rachel is doing.
