It's been awhile...

This morning our Rogers cable box died. Supposedly we can go in to any Rogers store and exchange it for a new one for free.

There is a Rejection Team working on our phone case. Ha! They were supposed to call us back by Thursday and they did not. I think we're up to 6-7 months of free phone service and 1 month of free internet. It'll be interesting to see how much further we can take this.

We're assuming that the phone appointment for Tuesday is still on.

Rachel is addicted to the game of Zingo. What is Zingo, you ask? It's like Bingo, only easier & potentially more fun depending on your point of view. Each player gets a card with 9 pictures on it. You can choose to play yellow cards (less duplication of pictures and therefore less competition) or red cards (more competitive). We usually play yellow cards although Rachel is too young to understand competition. If we race to the door (or anywhere!) and she doesn't get there first, she cheerfully yells out, "I got there next!" It's very cute and innocent.

Yesterday the three of us were playing Zingo. We took turns "dealing" the tiles. When you see a tile with a picture that you have on your card, you shout out what's on the tile and take it for your card. When your card is full, you shout "Zingo!" It was a very close game - we all needed one more tile in order to win and shout Zingo. The next tile that came up was one that both Ben and Rachel needed. When Rachel saw that they both needed it, she said, "Daddy, you can have the first foot." (Yes, the tile had a picture of a foot.) Ben happily obliged and yelled, "Zingo!" at which point Rachel and I decided to keep playing until everyone got a Zingo.

We're enjoying being able to play "real" games with Rachel. She likes to make up her own rules, but what kid doesn't?
