She cracks me up

Rachel has been drawing a lot of pictures lately. When she heard that Ben had asked the families in one of his Kindermusik classes to make drums for the next class, she immediately volunteered to help him make some too! She drew a bunch of circles on pieces of paper, added smiley faces to them, and drew sticks beside them. Apparently you are supposed to cut them out and then play with them. She told this very seriously to our babysitter last night.

When we were in Toronto over the weekend, Grandma Fern read Rachel some poems from Shel Silverstein's "Where the Sidewalk Ends" - if you don't have this book, you should! There was one poem that talked about drawing invisible things. So Rachel has been drawing invisible animal pictures this morning and asking us to label them for her. She drew a circle on each sheet of paper and told us which invisible animal was inside.
